Prayer Needs as of April 12, 2009

  1. Level 5 Language Evaluation (L5) - May 1, 2009  --  Our final language evaluation for this term is just around the corner.  We are in the final stages of study and are physically and mentally tired from this long 4-year term.  Language study, along with ministry days, as well as caring for our children and each other keeps us busy. Please pray that we will be able to stand up under the pressures of this schedule. Pray that we will maintain our focus on Christ first, family second, and language study third.

  2. Our Stateside Assignment (STAS) begins in July!  We will be in Atlanta, Georgia from July to December 2009, and in Fort Worth, Texas from January to May 2010. God has blessed us with homes in which to stay while in both cities, but we are still working on obtaining transportation.  Please pray that God will provide the perfect vehicles for our family's needs.

  3. Jeff will be completing his MA in Missiology while on STAS. He lacks just three classes. You prayed that the right courses would be offered at the right times. Praise God that Jeff will be able to take an online Contemporary Evangelism course this Fall 2009 and two, self-study Missiology courses in Spring 2010 in order to complete his degree.  Thank you for your powerful prayers!

Starbucks = Pray for the Japanese!
•  Japanese love coffee!
•  The Shibuya, Tokyo Starbucks, is one of the busiest in the world
•  30,000 cups served daily
•  Japan is less than .5% Christian, so...
•  Of the 30,000 served, less than 150 are Christian.
•  When you see a Starbucks or enjoy a cup of coffee, pray for the Japanese
